To say we executed that vision is an understatement!! Between the stunning sunrise, followed by some cutie side-street bike rides, everything about these two was chef’s kiss perfection. Allie & Keith’s Sunrise Engagement Photos
I read somewhere one time that the key to great photos with your person is to simply be in love. I'll stand by that forever and these two prove that to be so true. Besties since they were five and rekindled when covid brought her back to their home town, I mean the cutest film in the making, right?!
They were on top of the planning, so we took a few months to discuss every perfect detail of their photos while also considering the timeline to make sure they have their photos and videos back with plenty of time to use on their save the dates for their destination wedding in Mexico! (Tip: for destination weddings, plan to have your save the dates sent out 9-12 months in advance to give your guests plenty of time to plan and get travel details together!)
When I talked to Allie the first time, she was open to any and everything, wanted something different from what she’d seen before, knew she wanted something on the beach, and both photo and video for the dave the dates and their wedding website. She wanted everything to feel filmy and the experience to feel easy and fun. They showed up ready to be in love, cute, and have fun!!
An Iconic 30A Spot: Grayton Beach, FL
Picking a location for these two was an easyyyyy decision; close to where they live, and one of their favorite beaches to hang around Grayton Beach only made sense. They wanted to do photos before the beaches were crowded with people. 30A in September means busy season – packed beaches, everyone watching the sunset, bonfires, and community. It’s incredible but for the photo vibe they wanted sunrise was perfect. Quiet beaches before everyone was out and about or even awake for the day.
Sunrise on the day of their photos was right around 6 am, so we planned to meet at the beach access at 5:40-5:45ish, which gave us plenty of time to get those colors before the sun came up over the horizon, then move onto the beachy photos while the sun was rising. They also wanted to do some cutie photos on bikes and Grayton Beach and the side streets made for the most stunning green backdrop for that second half!
What They Wore – Beach Engagement Photo Outfit Inspiration
They absolutely rockeddd the outfits for these photos. I know firsthand that picking what to wear when you’re going to be on camera is no easy task. In her bridal era Allie knew she wanted to wear white and Keith found the most perfect pieces to compliment that. Together they looked perfect with the beachy backdrop andd the greenery backdrop!! The mix of colors and textures was everythingggg. Textures are such a perfect way to give the outfits a little something while keeping it neutral if that’s the vibe you’re going for!!
Outfit one: Perfect for on the beach – Allie in a cutie white dress with lace layering, Keith in tan pants with a white long sleeve top. I always say for the beaches, your shoes wont matter because 99.999% of the time everyone's shoes come off immediately.
Outfit two: More casual for the bikes – Allie wore lace pants with a white oversized T-shirt with a cutie hat we pulled out of my car last minute, while Keith went with a textured brown T-shirt and white shorts. Both with some simple and casual birks for shoes.

Alwaysss make sure you are comfortable!! Feel good, look good, am I right?!
Think about something movement-friendly so you don’t feel constricted.
The colors play into the vibe and feeling; lead with how you want the photos to feel and everything will follow.

Bringing in that nostalgic filmy vibe into their video was actually perfect and super important to the vision. I cannot say enough how obsessed I am with that warm feeling super 8 videography brings to every video. I meannnnn look at it?! About a month after this shoot I started shooting film photography too and to say I'm obsessed is an understatementtt!
The Engagement Photo Details
These two brought the detailssss! I loveee some details, they’re such a cutie way to add to your story. They had cake with a picnic basket, bikes with some florals… they were such cute touches to add to their experience!! The bikes gave some perfect action to their photos and gave them something to do. The details are such a cute way to bring something extra into your photos if that’s something you like!!
